Manchester United's midfielder, Michael Carrick, confirmed his intention to stay at Old Trafford even though Carrick has not offered a contract extension again by Manchester United.

Michael Carrick believes that Manchester United is the club which is perfect for her, she wanted to end his career and will not leave Manchester United.

As reported The People, "yet there is talk about a new contract extension, but United is the right place for me. This is a great club," Carrick said.

"We believe if we were able to achieve peak performance, then we will have a great chance to win the league," he said.

Michael Carrick Injury - Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that Michael Carrick Achilles tendon injury that sidelined him for three weeks. Carrick showed the injury when he played with england team against Switzerland at Euro 2012 qualified. Meanwhile, Rio Ferdinand could have played, after experiencing a 2 month injury.

"We've had a little setback with Michael Carrick out for three weeks. The Achilles problem," said Alex Ferguson.

"He saw a specialist and injected. Anderson came off with last night who did something does not mean the job but will not be knocked back for a long time. Everyone is fit.

"Hopefully Carrick can recover quickly and back into the Man United squad," said Ferguson.

Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick said his team should not repeat the mistakes like that happened at yesterday's 2009/2011 season, Manchester United, it often failed to achieve victory when-when the game is important, as well as when they are against teams above the wind can be defeated.

Manchester United's midfielder Michael Carrick will miss the opening games of the new campaign after suffering an ankle injury during pre-season action.

The 29 year old picked up a knock in the 7-1 win over an Airtricity League XI in Dublin and will be sidelined for around a fortnight.

"Carrick hurt his ankle. It is nothing serious, but he will be out for a couple of weeks, so he will miss the start of the season." said Ferguson.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are preparing to allow back-up strikers Danny Welbeck and Mame Biram Diouf to leave the club on loan.

The duo's first-team opportunities at Old Trafford appear to be limited, especially following the arrival of Mexico international Javier Hernandez earlier this summer.
