Of all the music albums released of late, Runway manages to grab the attention mainly due to one cracking song called 'Khuda Ke Liye'. It's got that special sombr feel to it which many great anthems have and whilst overall, it doesn't quite reach that 'special' status; it's still a very enjoyable number. Shamir's enlightening piano tune is topped off with some brilliant vocals by Pakistani singing sensation Mustafa Zahid who confirms the incredible versatility in his singing armour! The song is also well supported lyrically by Shabir Ahmed. Not withstanding the attractions of the original version, it is perfectly suited for a remix.
'Teri Yaadein Leke Dil Mein' isn't a terrible track but you will be disappointed with Shamir's efforts here. It's still a breezy number that can be enjoyed by all but don't expect it to stick in your mind.
Thankfully an improved track is 'Roshan Dil Ka Jahan' although in reality it still lack the quality of the opener.
The soundtrack ends on a poor note with 'Pyaasi Machuriya' sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Shamir Tandon has shown potential in the past but has never quite hit the big time and Runway continues to prove just why.
